Cape Town fire and fescue Service has reported a noteworthy decline in residential fires and related fatalities over the past twelve months.
These findings, part of annual fire statistics, reveal that the overall number of residential fires has decreased by 10, while fatalities from such incidents have plummeted by 25, reports Cape town Etc .
The statistics reveal a sharp contrast between the years tracked: in the 2022/23 period, there were a troubling 3,508 total residential fires, which rose to 4,210 in the following year, before falling again to 3,773 in 2024/25.
