The picturesque Lions Head area in Cape Town is once again under threat as a veld fire alert has been issued following the ignition of a blaze earlier this evening, at approximately 7:15pm, reports Cape town Etc .
The flames erupted on the Sea Point side of Lions Head, just above Head Road, prompting immediate action from local firefighting units.
According to reports, the City of Cape Towns Fire and Emergency Services department, alongside the Table Mountain National Park TMNP and the National Command Centre NCC, are currently responding to the incident.
