Political analyst Professor Susan Booysen says it is almost impossible for the African National Congress ANC to revive its old ideology of activism and nationalism.
Professor Booysen was speaking to SABC News on the sidelines of the partys 5th National General Council in Boksburg on the East Rand.
She argues that careerism has become deeply entrenched among party officials and members, making a return to those values unlikely.
