City of Ekurhuleni mayor, Nkosindiphile Xhakaza, has dismissed allegations linking him to the killing of the City's former Chief Auditor, Mpho Mafole.
The mayor briefed the media in Germiston following media reports that he attempted to interfere in investigations into wrongdoings in the municipality.
Mafole was shot and killed in Kempton Park in June last year, days after submitting a report detailing multi-million tender irregularities in the metro municipality.
