The EFF says Deputy President Paul Mashatile must state under oath whether or not he has direct or indirect financial interest in Sizekhaya Holdings, a consortium that was awarded the multibillion-rand licence to operate South Africas national lottery for the next eight years.

Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau awarded the licence, reportedly worth over R180 billion over eight years, to Sizekhaya in May 2025.

One of Sizekhayas shareholders is Bellamont Gaming, whose co-owner and co-director is Advocate Khutso Bogatsu, the twin sister of Mashatiles spouse Humile.
