A Durbanville teenager was badly injured when a horn warning spooked him and he hit a deep pothole while riding his scooter this week, reports Cape town Etc .
The crash happened after a passing motorist honked to warn him about another reckless driver.
Witnesses say the sudden honk startled the rider. He lost control and struck a large pothole. He was thrown into the air and landed with the full weight of his head on the road surface. Emergency services were called and the teenager was taken to hospital with head and shoulder injuries News24 .
