Law Enforcement Marine Unit officers arrested three men after two separate Ravensmead operations that recovered more than 600 West Coast Rock Lobster tails, reports Cape town Etc .
On 16 January officers stopped a vehicle at a supermarket after the driver ran a red light. They found a cooler box with 300 lobster tails. A 50-year-old man from Uitsig was charged and held for questioning.
A day earlier, on 15 January, officers executed a tip-off at a Ravensmead property. They found 348 lobster tails, six of which came from egg-bearing females. A 47-year-old man from Ravensmead and a 45-year-old homeowner from Kuilsriver were arrested.
