Dramatic Rescue Operation Unfolds At Robberg Nature Reserve After Hiker Collapses

A 45-year-old woman from Gauteng was airlifted to safety after collapsing at the scenic Robberg Nature Reserve, located along the Garden Route in a dramatic and urgent operation on Monday, Cape town Etc reports.
The National Sea Rescue Institute NSRI Plettenberg Bay duty crew received an urgent call around 13h08 notifying them that a female hiker had lost consciousness near the Fountain Shack on the Wild Side trail.
Station commander Jaco Kruger reported that the situation was dire, with the womans medical condition deteriorating rapidly.
'Good Samaritan hikers, including a doctor who was part of the group, provided immediate assistance, which was critical in ensuring she received care until further help arrived,' Kruger revealed.
He commended the quick response of fellow hikers who ensured that the woman remained stable during the initial moments of crisis.
