The City of Cape Towns Disaster Risk Management Centre says theres been localised flooding on several roads, particularly in Simons Town, where heavy downpours have prevented water from clearing quickly.
Disaster Risk Management Spokesperson Sonica Lategan says traffic has been diverted via Soldiers Way back onto Main Road.
The weather has also affected traffic towards Simons Town near Main Road and the Glencairn Expressway, with officers on the scene managing congestion.
