DJ Warras aka Warrick Stock's murder investigation moved forward when Gauteng police arrested a 25-year-old Mozambican man in the Marathon informal settlement, Primrose, on the evening of 30 January, reports Cape town Etc .
Police say the man was detained during a Crime Intelligence-led operation and is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court today on charges of murder and contravention of the Immigration Act.
Brigadier Brenda Muridili confirmed the arrest and said the operation targeted a suspect who had been on the run since Stock was shot on 16 December. The 25-year-old suspect, a Mozambican national, was arrested in Marathon informal settlement in Primrose around 8pm on 30 January 2026, she said.
