The South African Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation DIRCO has expressed its deep disappointment over the recent assessment of human rights conditions in the country, as outlined in a report published by the US State Department, Cape town Etc reports.
Released on Tuesday, the report claims that the human rights situation in South Africa has significantly deteriorated, drawing attention to issues surrounding the Expropriation Act and alleged abuses against racial minorities.
Particularly concerning for DIRCO were the allegations that the South African Government has failed to adequately investigate human rights abuses, including inflammatory rhetoric directed at Afrikaners and violent acts against these communities.
