Defence counsel Charles Mnisi has suggested that the High Court in Pretoria should inspect one of the locations in Vosloorus on Gautengs East Rand, where one of the Senzo Meyiwa accused was allegedly assaulted. The trial is expected to continue tomorrow morning.

Accused number one, Muzi Sibiya, has alleged he was assaulted at various locations following his arrest in May 2020, including at a parking lot close to a police station and other buildings.

Sibiya and four other accused are on trial for the 2014 murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain.

Advocate Mnisi says Sibiya and Gininda have different descriptions of the area and an inspection in loco is needed.

My lord, I think the best is that we go there and we have an inspection on loco. Brigadier Gininda says its a contradiction on us. I think he should try the best that he can to describe that place, to give a picture that communicates that any person who would have passed there would have seen what was happening, says Advocate Mnisi.
