The Democratic Alliance DA has welcomed the ruling of the Western Cape Equality Court, which found EFF leader Julius Malema guilty of hate speech .
This verdict relates to statements Malema made during a speech at the EFFs third provincial Peoples Assembly in the Western Cape in 2022.
The DA says the ruling serves as a warning to members of parliament, that they cannot publicly express hateful and divisive speech.
