The Democratic Alliance DA in Tshwane says it will closely monitor whether Executive Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya repays the nearly R270 000 she was overpaid while serving as chief of staff in the Mayors office in 2019.
The payment stemmed from a once-off benchmarking salary adjustment applied to 78 senior officials in the metro.
Responding to the DA, Dr Moya questioned why the party had not raised the matter while it was governing the city and while she served as its Deputy Mayor.
