The DA in Johannesburg has criticised City Power s plan to cut electricity to entire neighbourhoods unless 80 of households prove legitimate vending compliance.
The party has called the utilitys plan unconstitutional and unfair, saying that it punishes paying customers and harms vulnerable residents.
Its demanded that the city scrap the blanket disconnection plan immediately.
