Construction and EPWP workers in Kimberley in the Northern Cape say they are trying to cope with the current heatwave.
Many say they are trying to stay in the shade and hydrate by constantly drinking water. Some workers, including a skin cancer survivor, expressed deep concern over prolonged sun exposure.
This comes after the South African Weather Service SAWS issued a heat wave warning for the Northern Cape, Free State, and North West.
