A weekend outing at Hillcrest Estate quarry has transformed into a tale of daring adventure and heartfelt rescue after Sable, a two-and-a-half-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, found himself in a precarious situation following an enthusiastic chase after dassies, Cape town Etc reports.
On Saturday evening, Sable's exploration took a turn when he scrambled roughly 20 metres up an 80-metre cliff face, only to realise that descending was much more complicated than his ascent.
When Sable failed to return home alongside his owner, concern began to set in. It wasnt long before a search began, culminating in the discovery of Sable stuck on a narrow ledge and looking rather sorry for himself.
