The South African Civil Aviation Authority SACAA has issued Type Acceptance Certification to Embraer for its E190-E2s and E195-E2s, paving the way for deliveries of the aircraft and their entry into service with Airlink.
In June, Airlink announced plans to lease 10 new Embraer E195-E2 twin-engine passenger aircraft from Azorra, as reported by Travel News . Airlink recently finalised the lease agreement.
The first deliveries are expected later this year, with the full fleet arriving by 2027. The aircraft will seat up to 136 passengers in a two-two configuration.
