Prenelan Subrayen will undergo an independent assessment of his bowling action at an ICC-accredited facility after his action raised concerns over its legality. Match officials have raised objections in his action after the first ODI of the three-match series between Australia and South Africa, which was held at the Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old spin-bowling all-rounder completed his 10-over quota on ODI debut. He finished his spell with figures of 1/46 including the critical wicket of Travis Head 27 off 24. The left-handed top-order batter was the first wicket to fall for the hosts.
Corbin Bosch and Senuran Muthuswamy, both of whom were involved in the preceding 20-over series, will be the most likely candidates to take the right-arm spinner's place in case he doesn't feature in the remainder of the series.
