Anzisha, a multiyear fellowship for young Africans aged between 15 and 22 years old, has announced the release of season 3 of its YouTube series The Journey .

The documentary series provides an uncensored glimpse into the grit of 30 very young entrepreneurs across Africa, Anzisha said in a statement on Wednesday 11 June.

Established in 2011, the fellowship aims to transform African economies by creating youth-led, job-generative businesses.

It identifies exceptional youth entrepreneurs and equips them with resources to grow their ventures, ultimately inspiring others in the process. Season 2 of The Journey amassed over 1.13 million views on YouTube across its eight episodes.

Season 3 premieres on Thursday, 12 June. It promises to be even more impactful and focuses on the hurdles, strategic pivots and moments of leadership that define the entrepreneurs journeys.

This season culminates in a high-stakes pitch competition where four prizes totalling 40,000 around R700,000 will be awarded to the most promising entrepreneurs, Anzisha said.

This intense pitch week in Johannesburg , South Africa, is where young founders refine their ideas, validate the work they've done over the last two years and battle for prizes that can transform their ventures.

The new season will showcase the entrepreneurs experiences, vision, execution, innovation and personal ambition to address gaps within their communities.

Viewers will also gain a deeper understanding of the African entrepreneurial ecosystem and the complexity of developing businesses in emerging markets.

Participants in the series come from Zimbabwe , Nigeria, Madagascar, Benin, Uganda, Zambia, Ghana, Egypt, DR Congo and Senegal.
