Some African National Congress ANC volunteers in Moruleng, in the North West, have expressed frustration after being sidelined from the partys main anniversary celebration , despite working throughout the week in preparation for the event.
Volunteers say they were promised that they would be deployed on the main day of the event, only to be informed today that they will no longer be working there.
One of the volunteers, Lovely Motaung, alleges that individuals brought in from other provinces have been assigned duties instead, even though Moruleng is hosting the national gathering.
