African National Congress ANC Johannesburg Regional Chairperson Dada Morero says they are not going to embark on a popular contest of throwing names around for the 2026 Local Government Elections.
Some political parties have already announced their candidates for the city's mayoral position.
The Democratic Alliance DA has announced that its Federal Executive Chair, Helen Zille, will be running for Joburg Mayor , while the Patriotic Alliance PA has thrown the hat of its Deputy President, Kenny Kunene, into the ring.
