An ANC proportional representation councillor in the City of Cape Town has been shot and killed in what police believe was a targeted attack in Old Crossroads, reports Cape town Etc .
48-year-old Lazola Gungxe was fatally shot on Tuesday, 3 February, shortly after a community meeting at the Old Crossroads Community Hall on Gwayi Street in Nyanga.
According to police spokesperson Captain Frederick Van Wyk, officers from Nyanga police station responded to reports of a shooting at the venue.
