The boy who allegedly witnessed the incident which possibly led to the death of former African National Congress ANC president Inkosi Albert Luthuli in 1967, has been identified as Mbhemu Myandu.
This was revealed at the re-opened inquest into Luthulis death in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
Luthulis family wants the court to overturn findings of the original apartheid era inquest that ruled Luthulis death as an accident.
