Former France defender and 1998 World Cup champion, Marcel Desailly has suggested that Cote dIvoire is the African country most likely to make it to the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Ghana-born football legend made the statement in Abidjan, where the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, presented by Coca-Cola, is currently taking place.
Speaking at the event, Desailly highlighted the historic qualification of nine African teams for the expanded 48-team tournament.
