The new high-rise units range from one- to three-bedrooms and are open to individuals, corporations, and government buyers.

West Properties Holdings WestProp, the Harare-based real estate holding company led by Zimbabwean businessman Ken Sharpe , has broken ground on Pomona Flatslaunching the first phase of its ambitious 4 billion Pomona City development. The project aims to transform urban living in Harare, offering what Sharpe describes as a modern, self-contained community.

Apartments start at 70,000 in Pomona City

Located next to Wingate Golf Club and near Harares expanding Green Zone, Pomona City will be designed as a city within a city, where residents can live, work, and access essential services without needing to leave the neighborhood.

Today marks more than the laying of bricks it marks the foundation of a thriving, self-contained community, Ken Sharpe, the CEO WestProp Holdings, said at the groundbreaking event. Pomona is where urban aspirations meet lifestyle innovation, a place where families flourish.

Pomona Flats will serve as the first development under the Pomona City plan and marks WestProps first high-rise project in Harare North. The units, ranging from one- to three-bedroom apartments, will start at 70,000. WestProp is also opening the door to bulk purchases by corporations and government bodies looking to provide housing for employees.

174 million boost to local economy

The project adds to WestProps expanding real estate portfolio, which already includes Millennium Heights, a wellness-centered apartment community Pokugara, a residential neighborhood built around green open spaces and The Hills Luxury Golf Estate, which is expected to feature Zimbabwes first PGA-grade golf course.
