The Ministry of Technology and Science of Zambia hosted a courtesy visit from Czech Republic Ambassador Jiri Kyrian on September 28, 2025, to discuss ways to deepen technological collaboration between the two countries. The meeting focused on several initiatives aimed at boosting innovation, knowledge exchange, and digital development.

Key topics included the upcoming Tech4Zambia Forum, scheduled for October 27, 2025, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka. The forum, following the high-level visit of Czech Deputy Prime Minister Marian Jurecka in May, will bring together representatives from government, the private sector, academia, and civil society to expand dialogue on technology and innovation.

The discussions also highlighted ongoing work through the SLIM Project, which supports Zambia's National Remote Sensing Center with expertise in GIS and remote sensing, software and hardware upgrades, and expert exchanges with European partners. Plans for a 2026 visit to Prague and the European Space Agency were also discussed.
