Zamalek have been slapped with yet another transfer ban by FIFA, this time over unpaid compensation owed to former head coach Jaime Pacheco.
The latest ban, which spans three transfer windows, comes on top of an existing ban already in place due to Zamaleks failure to settle outstanding payments to Moroccan striker Khalid Boutaib .
Jaime Pacheco, who managed Zamalek between September 2020 and March 2021, filed a successful complaint to FIFA after the club terminated his contract early. The Portuguese manager is owed 819,000 in compensation, which the club has yet to pay.
This new ruling upholds a previous one that was announced in November 2024 and that The White Knights had appealed.
Adding to the clubs financial woes, FIFA has already ordered the club to pay Khalid Boutaib the remaining 983,000 from an initial 2.4 million settlement related to his premature contract termination.
