Zamalek officially parted ways with Portuguese manager Jose Peseiro, with Ayman El-Ramadi taking over for the rest of the season.
Following a disappointing 2-2 draw in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League Championship phase, the club, led by president Hussein Labib, announced on Wednesday that the decision was made due to a series of poor results.
The clubs new technical staff was also listed in the official announcement as follows:
- Ayman Abdel Aziz retaining his role as assistant head coach
- Ahmed Samir and Hazem Emam joining as assistant coaches
- Emad El-Mandoh continuing as goalkeeping coach
- Wael El-Qabbani will be replacing Abdelwahed El-Sayed as director of football, following the latter's resignation, which was accepted by the board.
The White Knights upcoming schedule is packed, with matches against Ceramica Cleopatra on Friday, Pyramids on May 13, and Petrojet on May 24. The team will conclude the league season against Pharco.
Additionally, Zamalek will face Pyramids again in the Egyptian Cup final, scheduled for June 5 at Cairo International Stadium.
Ayman El-Ramadi has previously managed Aswan and, most recently, Ceramica Cleopatra earlier this season. He now takes over a Zamalek side in urgent need of stability and results.
