After producing a breakthrough victory over the weekend, sprinter Zakithi Nene says he is racing against the clock this year as the international track and field season gains momentum.
Nene stormed to victory in 44.48 seconds in windy conditions on Sunday in the mens 400m race at the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm.
It was the second Diamond League win of Nenes career, and his first since he triumphed at the same event in the Swedish capital back in 2023 when he got a little lucky by pulling off a surprise victory against a relatively weak field.
