Zain Kuwait has announced the launch of its Digital Assistant for Wireless Site Engineers , becoming the first operator in the region to integrate artificial intelligence into technical operations and maintenance. The initiative, developed in collaboration with Huawei , is part of the company's strategy to enhance network infrastructure, accelerate digital transformation, and reinforce its leadership in the telecommunications and ICT sector.
The new solution, called FME Mate , leverages large language model LLM technologies to identify and analyze fault causes with precision and propose instant repair solutions. With its natural language interaction feature, engineers no longer need to input complex system commands, enabling them to access fault data and connection topologies more easily. Zain reports that this capability improves fault-handling efficiency by more than 20 percent in around 90 percent of cases and is expected to reduce site downtime by over 2,250 hours annually.
