African National Congress ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula says the partys councillors must be rooted in their communities and committed to running clean and accountable local governments.
The party is holding its special National Executive Committee NEC meeting in Ekurhuleni. It is expected to finalise the guidelines on its list process ahead of the Local Government Elections next year.
Mbalula addressed the media on Saturday.
