Retail and fintech group Pepkor is considering offering zero-fee banking services in South Africa through a PEP Bank, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday 18 November.
The services would be offered at Pepkors 6,000-store network across the country, the publication said, citing anonymous sources.
PEP Bank could be in the worksThe group is said to be in talks with banking multinational Investec. Should they reach a deal on a joint venture, they would reportedly share profits.
