Three players from Maharashtra - Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Radha Yadav will receive a cash prize of INR 2.25 crore each by the Maharashtra government for being part of the squad that won the Women's World Cup 2025.India Women recently won their maiden ICC title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final on November 2 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

Head coach Amol Muzumdar, who hails from Mumbai, will also be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 22.5 lakh. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, while announcing the Cabinet's decision, also remarked that the entire women's cricket team will be felicitated when it visits Mumbai.

The government's sports policy outlines that players winning gold medals in World Cups, World Championships or Para World Championships are to be given INR 2.25 crore each, while the coaches will receive INR 22.5 lakh. On the other hand, players winning gold in the Olympics or Paralympics receive INR 3.75 crore, while the coaches take home INR 37.5 lakh.
