If the Proteas can go into the tournament with enough confidence, head coach Mandla Mashimbyi believes the national womens team can lift their first World Cup trophy in England next month.
After reaching the final at the last two editions of the T20 World Cup in 2023 and 2024, as well as the final of last years 50-over World Cup, the SA team are aiming to secure the countrys first global limited overs title at senior level.
Last week they got together for a team building session and two days of training at Wits University ahead of their departure for the showpiece tournament.
