The reason Real Madrid captain, Luka Modric decided to leave the club has been revealed.
Modric had on Thursday revealed he will leave Real Madrid after the end of their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign this summer.
The Real Madrid captain will play his last match for Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu when they face Real Sociedad on Saturday in their final La Liga game of the season.
In a post on Instagram, the Croatia midfielder said: The moment has arrived. The moment I never wanted to come, but thats football, and in life everything has a beginning and an end.
However, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 39-year-old decided to leave the Spanish LaLiga giants after the club told him they wanted to start a new era with younger players.
