Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has delivered a heartening message on forward Taiwo Awoniyi.
Awoniyi sustained an abdominal injury in Forests 2-2 home draw against Leicester City after crashing into a goal post.
The forward underwent surgery afterwards and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Ahead of his sides crucial home clash against Chelsea on Sunday, Nuno confirmed that the Nigerian is in good shape.
He Awoniyi is much better. He is already able to walk. The doctors informed us that he had already started his normal life with his foot. So he is much better, said the Portuguese manager.
