Comedy in South Africa has over the years developed extensively, this according to renowned comedian David Kau. He says the growth of the sector has allowed South Africans to laugh past developments that have plagued the country.

"We've laughed through elections, power cuts and pandemics, years later, we're still standing and still laughing," says Kau.

One of the platforms that have allowed for the development of the sector is one of South Africa's long-standing comedy show, Blacks Only Comedy. The show is celebrating 21 years of unfiltered laughter, entertainment and cultural commentary. Kau who is a founder and host of the show, says, Blacks Only is a once in a generation event not to be missed. The highly anticipated show will take place on Saturday, 11 October, in Pretoria.
