Heavy rainfall in the Overstrand region in the Western Cape has led to localised flooding, particularly in the Hawston and Fisherhaven areas.
In a statement, the Overstrand Municipality says Disaster Management and operational teams worked into the early hours of this morning, providing temporary relief where possible.
The South African Weather Service SAWS has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning of severe thunderstorms in parts of the province today, with heavy rainfall in the Overberg and Southern Cape Winelands early morning.
