Two suspects have been arrested after police found a cache of unlicensed firearms and ammunition hidden beneath mattress in Batho location in Bloemfontein.
Free State police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli says officers discovered 23 boxes of various caliber ammunition hidden near a kitchen cabinet at the suspects residence.
He says four rifles, including an air gun were hidden beneath the mattress in the bedroom.
