Hundreds of people have been displaced in the Breede Valley municipal area in the Boland due to s evere storms that have lashed the Western Cape since the weekend.
Affected families are being accommodated in five municipal halls.
Helicopters are expected to be deployed this morning to assist those communities at Rawsonville and the surrounding areas who are cut off by the floodwaters.
