The Western Cape Education Department says it is ready and prepared to welcome hundreds of thousands of learners back to school on Wednesday.
The department says it is looking forward to welcoming learners to the start of the 2026 school year .
Western Cape Education Department spokesperson, Bronagh Hammond, says teachers returned to school on Monday in preparation for the beginning of the school year.
