The Western Cape Anti-Corruption Unit arrested two law enforcement officers on 13 January 2026 for allegedly accepting a R3000 bribe, Cape town Etc r eports.
The arrest has raised concerns about corruption within the department and sparked a renewed call for transparency among the ranks of law enforcement.
The two officers, who have not yet been named, were reportedly on duty on 5 January when they intercepted a driver suspected of being intoxicated while driving along Voortrekker Road in Parow.
