The Western Cape Minister of Mobility, Isaac Sileku, says theyll be using drone technology to monitor long-distance minibus taxis and buses over the Easter weekend.
He says that its one of the busiest times on the roads leading into and out of the Western Cape.
Sileku says that through the governments Exodus programme, free safety checks are being done for long-distance taxis and buses at the Joe Gqabi Public Transport Interchange in Philippi, on the Cape Flats.
