WSAR teams, paramedics and rangers responded to a triple rescue operation across Table Mountain and the Helderberg Nature Reserve on Sunday evening, Cape town Etc reports.
Wilderness Search and Rescue WSAR said a busy Sunday evening saw three separate mountain emergencies unfold across Table Mountain and the Helderberg Nature Reserve, drawing in volunteer rescuers, medics, rangers and reserve staff in a tightly coordinated response.
The first call came shortly before 4:30pm, when a 36-year-old hiker injured her ankle while descending Platteklip Gorge. WSAR said she had jumped down a large rock step and landed badly. After being treated on scene, she was placed in a rescue stretcher and carried down the mountain before being taken to hospital.
