The family of the child who was killed in an accident involving Sekhukhune United s Shaun Mogaila have broken their silence since the right back returned to action in the Betway Premiership .

Last year, Mogaila was involved in an accident that claimed the life of a 9-year-old girl , who was being driven to school by her mother. Another child, a 13-year-old boy, was injured in the crash.

According to reports, alcohol bottles were found in the car belonging to the PSL player. Mogaila later handed himself over to police, and was charged with culpable homicide . He appeared in court earlier this month , and the case was postponed for further investigation.

Mogaila returned to action for the first time last week, and scored the winning goal in Sekhukhunes clash against Chippa United in East London last Saturday.

Justifying his selection, Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema said, according to SABC Sport : I think the club, from day one of that unfortunate incident, has been there for the Shaune and for the families involved, and Shaun was given the time to take care of whatever he was supposed to.
