The Department of Water and Sanitation DWS says the Western Cape Water Supply System remains stable despite recording lower storage levels.
The provincial head of the department, Ntombizanele Bila-Mupariwa, says that this is due to lower consumption.
She says that the latest data shows that the system stands at 44.5 percent, down from the almost 60 percent mark at the same time last year.
