Walmart is wasting no time expanding its footprint in South Africa, with its second local store set to open its doors at Fourways Mall in Johannesburg on Friday, 28 November 2025.
The launch comes just days after the retailer's debut at Clearwater Mall , signalling a rapid rollout strategy aimed at establishing the global giant's presence across the country.
The Fourways branch will officially open at 8am, where store manager Lunghani Lincoln Mathebula will lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Walmart confirmed that the new store has created 80 permanent positions, with many of them offered to young South Africans looking for their first jobs.
