Controversial tenderpreneur Vusimuzi Cat Matlala lied under oath when he denied having an eSwatini identity document ID, South African Police Service SAPS Crime Intelligence head Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo has testified.
During his bail court hearing in September 2025, the state alleged that Matlala had a fraudulent eSwatini ID and used this as one of its grounds for opposing his bail application.
However, he denied this in a replying affidavit and his subsequent testimony before Parliaments ad hoc committee in November.
