One of South Africas leading mobile networks, Vodacom has announced its annual price update for selected products and services, set to take effect on 01 June 2025, Cape town Etc reports.
This change will see increases in both voice and data out-of-bundle rates for a variety of contract and prepaid price plans, as the telecom giant adjusts its fees in response to ongoing economic pressures.
According to Vodacom, the price hikes will be approximately 2 cents for both voice minutes and data usage when users exceed their bundled allocations. Specifically, customers on Contract and TopUp price plans will experience increases that could impact their monthly bills.
For prepaid customers, the forthcoming adjustments are as follows:- Power Pack : From R1.65 to R1.67 per minute for voice from R0.29 to R0.31 per MB for data.
- Power Bonus : Increasing from R1.65 to R1.67 per minute for voice and from R0.49 to R0.51 per MB for data.
- NXT LVL : Similarly, voice rates will rise from R1.65 to R1.67 per minute, and data rates from R0.49 to R0.51 per MB.
- Zetnet : Voice rates will increase in the same manner as NXT LVL, with data rates following suit.
- Dash Mobile : Voice rates rise from R1.65 to R1.67 per minute data rates increase from R0.49 to R0.51 per MB.
- Khosi Bonus : Voice and data rates will align with the increases of other plans.
- Prepaid LTE : From R2.09 to R2.11 per minute for voice, and R0.29 to R0.31 per MB for data.
- Prepaid 79c : Voice charges will increase from R0.79 to R0.81 per minute and data rates will adjust from R0.49 to R0.51 per MB.
As Vodacom works to manage its operational costs amid rising inflation and other economic factors, customers are urged to be mindful of these changes that may influence their usage patterns and budgeting for mobile services.
